July 17, 2009 (Friday)

Arrive about noon, pick up car, check into hotel, evening party.

Royal Hawaiian Band playing from 12 to at Queen's Medical Center Heritage Day celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the Medical Center.

July 18, 2009 (Saturday)

The "Pride of America" Norwegian Cruise Lines ship will arrive at the dock next to the Aloha Tower Marketplace at 7:00 a.m. For more information see Aloha Boat Days

EVENT: Prince Lot Hula Festival
TIME: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
VENUE: Moanalua Gardens
ADDRESS: 1352 Pineapple Place, Honolulu
LOCATION: Between Downtown Honolulu and the Honolulu Airport , above the Keehi Lagoon and below Tripler Army Medical Center.
TICKET PRICE: Usually about $5

Waikiki Offshore Regatta sailing series Begins on July 22 with the 145 mileWaikiki/Maui/Waikiki sailing race. There will be six buoy races and one medium distance race July 24-26.

July 23, 2009 (Thursday)

Andy Bumatai Show broadcast live from Ing Direct Studios in Waikiki beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Pakalele Live Series at the Ala Moana Hotel will feature a performance by Na Palapalai on July 23.

The Laughing Samoans will perform at Blaisdell Concert Hall on July 24, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. See Event Announcement for more information

Star Gazing at the Honolulu Zoo with the Institute of Astronomy. Includes short animal tour at 6:30 and two half hour activities (starlab presentation and make your own constellation and snacks) at 7:00, and stargazing with telescopes from 8:30 to 9:00 p.m.

I'm spending most of this day with Walter touring Chinatown Honolulu.

Tinman Triathlon swim begins at 5:30 a.m. at Queen's Beach. Cycling race has an out and back course that begins at a transition area in Kapiolani Park. Running event has an out and back course that begins and ends at the Kapiolani Park transition area. I believe most of the competitors will have completed the race by about 11:00 a.m.

Waikiki ArtFest in Kapiolani Park from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. July 25-26, 2009

Molokai to Oahu Paddleboard Race paddlers will arrive at Moanalua Bay in Hawaii Kai around 12:00 noon I think.

Kuhio Beach Hula Show on July 26 will Twyla Mendez and Halau Na Pua Ale Lindsey Hula Studio from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.



July 27, 2009 (Monday)

Aha Aina Royal Celebration
